Today, I’m extremely excited to announce my first debut game, Hogvalord. After nearly two years of development, the game Hogvalord will be on Steam soon, around June 19th-20th, 2021.

What made me so proud about this project is getting things done without the Kick Starter campaign or any early access or publisher. There’s no secret about that because I’m a solo developer. I can’t manage everything outside of the development scope. I don’t have enough resources (people and budget) to handle marketing campaigns or building a community with daily or weekly updates. The only possible way for me is to focus 100% on developing the game and finish it as soon as possible.

There are so many indie game developers who torture themselves with no-sleeping development cycles. The main reason for that is the very tight deadline. And many people were haunted by their promises to Kick Starter backers, publishers, or investors. It’s hard to finish the project because of the requests that come from your backers, publishers, investors.

The Hogvalord is the proof of leveraging the asset store to get a thing done. I’m not the only solo developer who uses this approach to finish a game they want to make. I tried my best to create the best quality within my limits and bring the game to light and show it to beloved gamers. It’s an indie game of a solo game developer with the support of his friends.

As I mentioned in the description of the game, you will be Lucas in this game. That’s a simple young man who only wants to have a peaceful life in his hometown. But life is not easy with many strange monsters who want to push him far from his desire. And you are the only one who can help him at that crossroad by guiding him in fighting and survive. The activities you watch in the video of this first post are one of many pieces you can find in this game.

I can’t wait to show you more Hogvalord in the coming days. I hope you’ll be around in June 2021 when Hogvalord releases on Steam.
